How do I get The New York Times?

The library has access to The New York Times via academic pass. Anyone with a valid UWP email address can sign up for free access to the website and smartphone apps. Please read registration instructions. After you've registered, you can simply go to and log in to your account.

Passes must be created and renewed on-campus. If you are an online student, contact us and we can set up your account.

If you already have a New York Times account (free or paid) tied to your UWP email, you will need to unlink your UWP email from that account before signing up for your Academic Pass. Instructions are on the registration instructions page.

If your pass has expired, go to and sign in again (do not create a new account) to reactivate it.
